2014 Shearing Schedule

Thank you for checking our schedule and perhaps inviting us to shear for you this season.  We are expanding our territory, and starting WAY earlier than last year!  Please consider referring our services to other folks in your area, discounts to you are given for referrals.  Our prices remain the same as last year:

  • No "set-up" fee.
  • Llama shearing: $45 each, which includes toenail trimming.
  • Alpaca shearing: $35 each, which includes toenail trimming.
  • Quantity discounts available (call for quote).
  • Referral discounts given, or min. charge waived.
  • Fighting teeth cutting: $10 per animal (usually only needs done once).
  • Incisor trimming: $10 per animal.
  • Assisting in Vaccinations and Worming: No charge as long as it does not slow us down.
  • Sorting by the ranch personnel beyond separation of blankets and seconds.
  • Collection and transport of fleeces to be washed at our mill: No charge. Kimknits Fiber Mill will bill you for it's services, and return freight.
We generally have a $100 minimum charge per stop, i.e. three alpaca sheared, or two llama with teeth work, etc.; this fee can be avoided if you can coordinate your shearing with a neighbor's. Animals should be contained and haltered, if possible. Extra charges for field capture.

Please check updates to our schedule often, if you don't see a scheduled stop that meets your needs. The sooner you reserve your time frame, the closer we can meet your schedule. If you have a need for our services but have missed our timeframe in your area, please contact us at llamapacaservices@gmail.com or (208) 280-0678.
